Required Supplies

• Phone: Android 7.0 or iOS 12.0 phone
• WiFi Internet: Device requires 802.11 b/g/n, 2.4 GHz (not compatible with 5 GHz).
  • Internet & phone are not necessary after device is configured. It will continue to function without Internet access. 
    

IMPORTANT

• While sensitivity is adjustable via app, wide-angle sensor is not adjustable & may not be suitable for applications requiring narrow detection range.
• Includes 512MB built-in memory, actual usable memory will vary.
• Watch instructional video attached to this listing for important information and to quickly get started with your device!
• Place at different heights to find the perfect placement for your detection area and room size. Suggestions: assuming detection area is 5 meters away, place at 1.7-meter height from ground to minimize detection of small objects such as pets. To detect everything, place at height lower than 1.7M from the ground.
• Indoor use only: External use may result in moisture damaging internals of device and void warranty. Outdoor usage will also result in frequent false triggers due to changes in weather conditions (wind, sunlight, temperature, etc…)
• When the power switch on the device is switched to “off”, it takes up to 60 seconds for the app to show that device is offline. This is normal as status is communicated to/from the app through the Internet. 
  
  

IMPORTANT: Placement Instructions to Avoid False Triggers

• Device must not be placed near devices that emit RF signals, such as WiFi routers, or kitchen microwaves, as those will cause false triggers due to RF interference. 
• Place away from sources of high or variable heat. Device should not be aimed at or placed near fireplaces, lamps, ovens, air conditioners, vents, radiators/heaters, windows. If those are near or in the field of view of the sensor, they will cause infrared light fluctuations and will trigger the device.
• Device should not be placed in direct view of sunlight or aimed at windows, as fluctuations in heat and sunlight may trigger device.
• Sensor is set to maximum sensitivity by default and may respond to very small movements, including insects. If you're experiencing frequent false triggers, reduce sensitivity in the app under "Settings."
• Push notifications and audio playback are on by default. You can disable push notifications in the app under “Settings.”
• When uploading audio, device may trigger without motion. This is normal due to WiFi activity during upload. 
  

Battery Use 

• Device is intended to be used connected to a power outlet. Battery function is for short-term use only (tradeshows/pranks/etc) and can last for about 2 days. Batteries run out fast, even when the App has the “Power Switch” to “Off”, as WiFi connectivity is maintained at all times. To turn device off completely and prolong battery life, turn the device off using the switch on the device itself.  
• When on batteries, use 3x AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries, noting the correct polarity.  Use new alkaline batteries only. Used and/or other battery types may cause unit to not function properly.
• For longer portable operation, use with an external power bank, such as a cell phone power bank.
